Jump In and Code During Computer Science Week

Computer Science Week (Dec 5-11) is upon us, and it's a great time to lead students and adults through the hour of code. What started as a small vision has turned into a HUGE movement and there are so many resources, everyone is sure to find something that will interest them.

If you want to learn more or need more resources, I've gathered some here for you:

The Computer Science Education Week website houses information about who is participating, how to participate and how to lead and hour of code - https://csedweek.org/

The Hour of Code website houses many resources including a step by step guide of how to teach an hour of code for anyone who is hesitant - https://hourofcode.com/us/how-to

The CODE website features so many resources for introducing students to coding. You can sort activities by grade experience and available technology - https://code.org/learn

And if you have questions and want to learn more about the hour of code, the Are You Ready to Rock the Hour of Code? blog from Intel Teachers Engage answers questions and includes resources.

Most importantly, enjoy the hour of code and have fun. It may change someone's trajectory.
